As the name suggests this pneumonia does not require any hospitalization. Even though when one is suffering from walking pneumonia he or she can carry on their usual activities. They are sometimes put on medication so that the disease is cured faster and does not spread.  Personal hygiene is very much required so that the disease does not get transmitted further. Walking pneumonia sufferers should avoid physical contact with other people until they are fully recovered.

Walking pneumonia sufferers are usually children and teenagers. It is caused by a microorganism called Mycoplasma Pneumoniae where medical treatment is not necessary.
